Tom Hutcheson, a producer-director in Educational Technology Services, practices cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on a mannequin, as Red Cross volunteer instructor Richard Ratto offers tips, during last weekend’s “CPR Saturday.”

The free annual training course, offered in partnership with the Berkeley chapter of the American Red Cross, allows the campus community to become certified in this life-saving technique.

Close to 11,000 staff, faculty, students and friends have taken advantage of the class since its inception 21 years ago.
