|
The late Berkeley art professor Peter Voulkos created this 1970-‘71 metal sculpture, “Return to Piraeus,” installed in a outdoor courtyard at Berkeley Art Museum. Approximately 300 people attended a memorial for Voulkos held at the museum March 25. Museum director Kevin Consey and Mary O’Neal, chair of the Department of Art Practice, were among many who spoke in tribute to the world-renowned ceramicist, artist and teacher.
