Terri Castaneda, assistant director of ticket operations at the campus athletic ticket office, trims a plant near
Cerrito Creek during last Saturday’s “Day of Service” organized by Cal Corps Public Service Center. Some 140
students, staff, alumni, and community members joined forces to help local nonprofits. As they did last year, a number of volunteers assisted the ongoing citizen effort to restore Cerrito Creek, which enters San Francisco Bay near the base of Albany Hill. The weekend event culminated a week of Cal Corps activities celebrating public service and civic leadership.
