For the record
In a Q&A with Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources David Moers (Berkeleyan, Oct. 10), conditions governing release time for employees applying for funds through the campus Career Development Opportunity Program were misstated. The following clarifying text from the program application form and guidelines has been provided by the Office of Human Resources:

“Career employees are eligible for up to 40 hours of release time for CDOP within the policies or contracts that pertain to their positions. TAP employees and employees in part-time or casual-restricted positions are not eligible for release time for CDOP. If you request release time to take a class under this program, your supervisor has the right to determine whether you can take that release time depending on business needs and the timeframes you are requesting.”
