How to get things done on campus
Arranging a campus tour

13 November 2002 |

Faculty and staff are among those who can learn more about the university by participating in a free tour of the campus. The 90-minute walking tours are led by trained student guides who point out campus landmarks, share Cal traditions, and provide historical insights.

The tours are offered once daily, seven days a week. On Mondays through Fridays they leave from the Visitor Center, located at 101 University Hall (at the corner of Oxford St. and University Ave.), at 10 a.m. Tours begin at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays, departing from the Campanile, located in the center of campus.

Reservations are required for groups over 10. Group tours are offered Mondays through Fridays during the academic year and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Fees are assessed according to the size of the group. School or campus-sponsored group tours are free.

For those with mobility issues or time constraints, one-hour electric-cart tours are available for a $25 fee. The cart can accommodate five passengers. Reservations for this special tour must likewise be made at least two weeks in advance.
Visit www.berkeley.edu/visitors for additional information on campus tours. Call 642-5215 to make tour reservations.
