Eva Harris Harris, whose work focuses on the epidemiology of infectious diseases, is a leader in sustainable transfer of new technologies and health practices. She joined the Berkeley faculty in 1998, a year after receiving the MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, commonly called the “genius” award, for her work on detecting the dengue virus and for bringing that knowledge to clinics across Latin America.
