Arriving on campus with his wife, economist Janet L. Yellen (she
is the Eugene and Catherine M. Trefethen Professor at UC Berkeley’s
Haas School of Business and professor of economics and served as
chair of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers from
1997 to 1999), Akerlof and Yellen are greeted and congratulated
by UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Berdahl.
