ALUMS AND PARENTS DO THE BEAR BASH
For a few days this fall, the campus population grew by several thousand. The occasion was the first-combined Homecoming, Reunion & Parents Weekend, held the weekend of Sept. 25.
Besides the football game and a slate of class reunions, the weekend featured an "All Bear Bash and Rally" at the Greek Theatre, open houses, picnics, drop-in career counseling and networking opportunities and faculty seminars. There was even a panel organized by the Class of '68 titled "Student Activism in the '60s: Recycling our Past, Creating our Future." It featured former student activists, some of whom are now leaders in politics and the media industry.
