OCTET CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF SONG
The UC Men's Octet played Carnegie Hall last spring in a prize-winning performance. Celebrating the popular campus singing group's 50th anniversary, the eight dapper, suit-clad young men crooned their way to a first place prize May 9 in the National Competition of Collegiate A Cappella. This honor didn't come without hard work. The octet spent about nine hours a week rehearsing its 60-song repertoire. |
