WHAT: A "Law and Technology Forum," in which representatives from cutting edge, high-tech legal clinics and public interest programs will discuss pending legal cases, policy developments, and technological innovations that may threaten civil liberties and raise new challenges for consumer protection.The Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall) will host the conference. The forum will address various issues at the forefront of the news - the enforcement of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act; the First Amendment ramifications of shifting copyright rules and regulations; and media convergence and consolidation.
