WHAT:
A campus-wide memorial service to honor those who died in the terrorist attacks that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 11.

WHEN:
TODAY, Monday, Sept. 17, at noon.

WHERE:
Memorial Glade, a large area of lawn on the north side of the Main Library.

WHO:
Speakers will include Chancellor Robert M. Berdahl and author Maxine Hong Kingston and former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass, both UC Berkeley faculty members. Music will be performed by several campus groups.

BACKGROUND:
To honor those who have lost their lives and to allow the faculty, students and staff of UC Berkeley to come together as a community in support of one another.
