"Adjusting to the New Economic and Real Estate Realities," the focus of the 24th annual Real Estate and Economics Symposium. Leading experts from academia, business and government will discuss and offer forecasts on the economy and the real estate market in this symposium sponsored by the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business and the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics.

WHO:
Speaker highlights will include:

* Phil Angelides, California treasurer, talking about the prospects and issues facing California, including tough fiscal and planning choices.

* Bob Parry, president of the Federal Reserve of San Francisco, explaining how the economy and policy are likely to fare in the near future.

* Kenneth Rosen, chair of the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics, giving his annual real estate forecast.

* Michael Nacht, dean of UC Berkeley's Richard & Rhoda Goldman School of Public Policy and former assistant director for strategic and Eurasian affairs of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, providing a political backdrop about security issues and their likely effects upon the U.S. economy.
