Campus voice mail system has been fixed
BERKELEY - A problem that hobbled the UC Berkeley campus voice mail system throughout much of today (April 10) has been fixed.
According to the Communication & Network Services unit, the problem at first was thought to lie with the interface between the SBC switch and the campus voice mail system.
The equipment that identifies the number being called and directs the call to the proper voice mail box was not working; instead, callers reached a default voice mail system message. Message indicator lights were not coming on and users could not retrieve messages without a work around.
