Public comment session June 5 on EIR for stadium, southeast campus
BERKELEY – The campus is inviting the public to a session on Monday, June 5, to hear comments on the draft environmental impact report (EIR) on the Southeast Campus Integrated Projects. The projects include Memorial Stadium improvements and retrofitting (including a new student-athlete training center), a new law and business building, improvements to the current facilities of the law and business schools, a parking structure and new sports field at the current site of Maxwell Family Field, restoration of five houses along Piedmont Ave., and improvements to the area's landscape and public open spaces.
The session will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Andersen Auditorium at the Haas School of Business. The event begins with a 30-minute presentation on the project by university officials.
