WHAT
"Election Night 2006," a panel discussion sponsored by the University of California, Berkeley's Institute of Governmental Studies.
Will Democrats take back the U.S. House of Representatives? Will Arnold Schwarzenegger be re-elected as California governor? Political science students, experts and pundits will gather to watch election night returns and share their thoughts about the unfolding outcomes. The event, sponsored by the institute's Center on Politics, is free and open to the public.
WHEN
The election night watch is this Tuesday at 5 p.m. The panel discussion begins at 7 p.m.

Panelists will include:
- Jack Citrin, associate director of the institute and UC Berkeley political science professor
- John Ellwood, professor of public policy at UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy
- Robert Reich, professor of public policy at the Goldman School and former secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration
- Peter Schrag, political columnist with The Sacramento Bee and author of several books on California politics
- Debra Saunders, nationally syndicated political columnist from the San Francisco Chronicle
