Campus hosts college information fair for teens and parents |

WHAT
"College Information Day," an annual event at the University of California, Berkeley, that includes workshops and presentations for college-bound students and the parents of those students.
Representatives from scores of public and private colleges and universities, including institutions outside of California, will provide information on preparing for college, applying for admission, and seeking financial aid. The event is sponsored by a group of local educational institutions known as the East Bay Consortium.
Workshops will be held in English and Spanish. The program is geared toward middle and high school students and is free, but participants are asked to register in advance at: www.eastbayconsortium.org or by calling (510) 238-9450.

WHO
Representatives from approximately 60 public and private educational institutions across the country are expected to attend, including officials from numerous campuses of the University of California and California State University systems; private institutions including Stanford University, Mills College, University of San Francisco, University of Southern California; and representatives of out-of-state institutions including Bard College in New York, the University of Arizona, and historically black colleges and universities.
