ATTENTION: Reporters covering Election Night 2008
WHAT
Election Night at IGS, a traditional presidential election night event held by the University of California, Berkeley's Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS). Many UC Berkeley students and several faculty members are expected to attend. A panel of professors will discus the campaign, the election and the future of the country, and then students and faculty will watch the returns on a big-screen TV.
The event is being co-sponsored by IGS and the Cal Berkeley Democrats. Refreshments will be provided.
WHEN
4 p.m. - midnight, Tuesday, Nov. 4. The panel discussion will run from 4-5 p.m., and the election watch will begin at 5 p.m. and last until midnight.
WHERE
The panel discussion will be held in the IGS Library, 109 Moses Hall, UC Berkeley. The returns will be watched in the library and in the Moses Hall courtyard. See the UC Berkeley campus map.
WHO
The panel of political scientists will feature Jack Citrin, IGS director; Laura Stoker, professor of political science; and Rob Van Houweling, professor of political science.
