NEWS BRIEF -- College Information Day

BERKELEY -- On Saturday, Oct. 18, the 20th annual College Information Day for sixth through 12th-grade students and their parents takes place at the University of California at Berkeley. From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Wheeler Hall, students and parents will find workshops on admission requirements and current legislation, college preparation and financial aid/scholarships.

Sponsored in part by UC Berkeley's Office of Academic Preparation and Articulation, this event is designed to give students insight into gaining admission to a college or university.

Over 60 public and private college and university representatives will attend, giving out advice and brochures on their schools. Students are welcome to ask questions and will be able to receive personal attention from college representatives.

The event is free and open to the public. There is no pre-registration.
