The 1999 NASDAQ International Biotech-Infotech Summit at UC Berkeley, June 27-June 29

BERKELEY MEDIA ADVISORY: ATTENTION ASSIGNMENT EDITORS, HEALTH AND BIOTECHNOLOGY REPORTERS

WHAT:The 1999 NASDAQ International Biotech-Infotech Summit, at which several of the nation's key policy makers and decision makers will address more than 200 healthcare and biotechnology executives, venture capitalists, academics and scientists.

The summit will include numerous panel discussions in which experts will discuss such issues as financing the life science and biotechnology sectors of the economy; the link between the Internet and the rise of the patient movement; and drug and medical device research and development.

This event, the third annual summit, is co-sponsored by the University of California, Berkeley's School of Public Health and its Haas School of Business.

WHEN:The summit begins Sunday, June 27, and continues through Tuesday, June 29.
