Human Resource Session Scheduled One Last Time

The final information session on the Human Resource Initiatives proposal will take place April 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. in 100 Genetics and Plant Biology Building.

If you are a member of the MAP, Executive, A&PS or Staff Personnel Program, you are encouraged to attend this session.

Employees covered by collective bargaining agreements are not affected by the proposal.

If you cannot attend an information session, you can still provide your comments on the proposals, which are posted on the Berkeley Campus Personnel Office gopher.

Send email to newhr@violet or comment in writing to Director of Human Resources Alice Gregory, 207 University Hall, #3540.

Deadline for response is April 21.

Here are some questions asked by staff members at earlier sessions. The final session will answer these and any other questions you may have about the Human Resource Initiatives.

Q: What is the "variable pay plan" mentioned in the proposals?

Q: Will we still have range adjustments and merit increases?

Q: Will my vacation leave accrual still be the same?

Q: How will the new pay plan affect my retirement pay?

Q: What is UC's "market" for comparing pay scales?

Q: What training will be provided to managers who will administer the new incentive system?
