Clarification
Richard Treffers, the Astronomy Department's observatory engineer, was omitted in the announcement of the 1995 Educational Initiative Award given to the Astronomy Department for the Undergraduate Instrumentation and Image Processing Laboratory. (See Berkeleyan April 12, page 3.)
"Without Dick's hard work modernizing the Leuschner Observatory equipment, his supervision of the laboratory's computer system and his assistance in actual instruction, the courses and the laboratory would not have succeeded," says Astronomy Chair Jonathan Arons.
