Discuss the Game Plan With Football Coach Steve Mariucci at Brown Bag Lunches

Fresh from molding Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre into last year's NFL Most Valuable Player, Steve Mariucci is back in town to work his magic on Cal's football team.

The coach will be sharing his vision for the team through a series of noontime lunches to be held in Harmon Gym.

The talks, held on the Friday before each Saturday home game, will feature Mariucci, players and assistant coaches. They will offer locker room chat on the upcoming game plan and insights on future matches. Members of the audience are encouraged to participate.

The 40-year-old Mariucci, who coached offense at Cal from 1987-91, was named head coach Dec. 14. He is a former All-American quarterback who starred at Northern Michigan.

All lunches begin at 12:15. The dates are Sept. 13, 20, 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 1 and 22. For more information, call 642-2427.
