Many people make a point to eat right, get plenty of exercise and see a doctor for regular checkups. But what about the health of our family relationships? Families may also need regular checkups to make sure they work well. Fit families provide support to their members. Unfit families can add stress to already hectic lives. Care Services, United Way and Family Services Agency are sponsoring a series of workshops to highlight the importance of healthy families. The sessions will cover common family situations and offer ideas on how best to deal with them. Each workshop is led by a community agency professional and includes role-plays, discussion and opportunities for questions and answers. Participants will also receive information on resources and services available to working parents. A Care Services counselor will be on hand at each session to answer any campus-related questions. All sessions are from noon to 1 p.m. will be held in the Section Club room at the Tang Center, located at 2222 Bancroft Way. For information call Care Services at 643-7754.
