Academic Senate to the Web Rescue

Are you a faculty member without a web-page and too busy to read the HTML manuals? Do you teach a large introductory class with students clamoring to locate your syllabus?

Learn to put up your own web page in only a few hours during the Academic Senate's Web Week.

Senate members teaching this semester are invited to come to the "help desk" between 1 and 5 p.m. in 550 Moffitt Library during the week of Feb.18 through 21.

There is no need to register in advance. Faculty will be served on a first-come-first-served basis. Technical assistance will be on hand, and a new account will be initiated on the Socrates server as you wait.

All you need to do is bring your spring course material (a reading list, a syllabus) and some biographical information (a resume) on a floppy diskette, and helpers will walk you through the simple steps.

Web Week is sponsored by the Berkeley Division of the Academic Senate, Information Systems and Technology, Moffitt Library, Office of Educational Devleopment and CyberSemester '97. Send questions to Hardie@uclink.berkeley.edu or call 643-9433.
