UC Berkeley Academic Talent Development Program Intellectually challenging summer classes for motivated students in grades K-11. Elementary Division: For three weeks in July, students in grades K-6 attend classes at a school near Berkeley campus to explore academic areas not offered at their regular schools. Secondary Division: 7th to 11th graders come to campus for a six-week summer session for academic acceleration and enrichment. Dates/Times: Young Entrepreneurs Dates/Times: Phase I: Two-week summer session in July, including classroom instruction, guest speakers and field trips. Phase II: September-May during the school year, participants are paired with MBA graduate student mentors who work with them to complete business plans. After attending additional workshops, participants can present their business plans to EBOP Venture Capital Board. Successful plans receive startup funding. Ages: 9th-12th graders from Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville and Richmond are eligible. Price/Financial Assistance:No cost.
