Lerager's Nuclear Age Slides, Talk Feb. 24

Photojournalist and author James Lerager has been documenting the nuclear age since 1982. He will be showing slides and speaking about his current manuscript, "Nuclear History: Nuclear Destiny," on Monday, Feb. 24, 12:30 p.m., in the Blue Room of the Graduate School of Public Policy, 2607 Hearst Ave.

An exhibit of Lerager's photographs is currently on display in the school's living room. The photographs are from three of his nuclear-age stories -- Hiroshima, Chelyabinsk (the principal Soviet plutonium-production center) and the Nevada Test Site.

His photographs and stories have also appeared in magazines and newspapers in over 20 countries, including the United States and Europe.

Lerager's first book, "In The Shadow Of The Cloud: Photographs and Histories of America's Atomic Veterans," was published by Fulcrum Press in 1988.
