Staff members at the College of Environmental Design planned a day-long program of activities Thursday, April 24, for daughters of faculty, staff and students. The morning included a session in the architecture wood, metal and plastics shop, where the girls built bird houses and feeders. Erika Arneson, 15, (left) daughter of shop mechanician Bruce Arneson, hammers a bird feeder as sister Lauren, 13, looks on. Kimi Komatsu, 11, (below) shows off the final product with her mother, Cyndee Clearwater, assistant dean for administration in the college.
