The 12th annual staff appreciation day, Cal Staff Summerfest '97, is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2 to 4 p.m. at the base of the Campanile. This year's theme is "We Are Cal" and the festive program features live entertainment including a Zydeco band, refreshments, arts and crafts displays, campus staff organizations, information booths, "massage land" and carnival games. Cal Staff Summerfest gives the campus the opportunity to recognize the importance of staff employees and their contribution to the mission of the university. As always, volunteers are needed to help with the event. To volunteer, send an email to Nilima Bhatia at nilima_bhatia@ls and include the word "volunteer" in the subject line. authorized to grant two hours of administrative leave with pay to enable
staff to attend and participate. |
