Are Most For One Campus

Among the 151 new fellows elected this spring by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, more of them were associated with Berkeley than with any other institution. Ten Berkeley faculty listed below received the prestigious honor in recognition of distinguished contributions to science, scholarship, public affairs and the arts. The academy was founded in 1780 by John Adams and other leaders of the young republic. Today its roster of fellows and foreign honorary members includes 4,000 individuals from universities, government, business and the creative arts. Bob B.
