The glove box will isolate biological materials from the astronauts during experiments on the space station. Some astronauts have experienced muscle fatigue and pain during long hours of work in a glove box in space. NASA astronauts visited the Richmond Field Station ergonomics lab for several weeks to test a new glove box designed to reduce shoulder muscle loads in a simulated zero-gravity environment.
