Besides a large contingent of architectural elements and design tools -- including a Corinthian column, a giant T-square, an energy-efficient house and a paint palette -- undergraduate and graduate students, staff and faculty also made their debuts as gorillas, bird ladies, refinery fires, "motion," traditional Turks and lederhosen-clad Bavarians. Members of one design studio wore garments made from yellow and black "Caution" tape; others came barely clothed in plastic bubble wrap.
