Photo of the Week: All the World's a Stage

Photo: Art student Christopher Lee

Art student Christopher Lee draped the bridge between Haviland Hall and University House to evoke the feeling of a stage, with the natural background as the set. "Standing on the bridge," said Lee, "you become a performer in an imaginary world of theater." Lee installed his piece for Art 138, Professor Anne Healy's class on "Site Specific Installation." Students had to select a site and plan and present their creation using sketches, working drawings and a scaled model -- much as they would when applying to various public art programs or grants.
