Ready, set, lift
10 April 2001 | A construction crew works to secure the 2.5-ton Pomodoro sculpture “Rotante Dal Foro Centrale.” The bronze spherical sculpture, along with several others located on the Berkeley Art Museum grounds, were removed last week in preparation for the museum’s temporary sesmic upgrade project. The museum will close May 28 through mid-September while the building is being retrofitted.
