Task force seeks ways to keep campus clean The task force will establish a new anti-graffiti team and hotline, as
well as an awareness campaign. The program’s success, however, depends
on faculty, staff and student contributions.
“Everyone at the university shares in the responsibility for the appearance
of the campus,” said Karen Abesamis, coordinator of the effort. “We can
all help by throwing trash in the proper containers, utilizing recycling
bins and calling the hotline to report graffiti sightings.”
The graffiti hotline number is 643-0890. Campus community members are
also encouraged to report broken or burnt-out lights, both exterior and
interior. The task force is organizing a volunteer campuswide clean-up
day for fall semester. The date will be announced in the coming months.
