Clark Kerr — Berkeley chancellor from 1952 to 1958 and president of the university from 1958 to 1967 — celebrated his 90th birthday with Chancellor Berdahl and other guests at University House last Saturday.

To commemorate Kerr’s birthday, the Center for Studies in Higher Education sponsored a symposium in his honor last Friday, and the Office of the President announced the establishment of the “Clark Kerr Lecture Series on the Role of Higher Education in Society.”

Kerr recently completed the first volume of his memoirs, which will be published later this fall.
