Terrorist attacks may mean late mail Campus mail services officials say departments should expect delays because the FAA grounded all airlines in response to the attacks. The grounding of the nation’s air fleet cut off a major vehicle for mail delivery across the continental United States. Officials say the delays will affect over night and two-day deliveries. Questions can be directed to Mail Services at 643-MAIL. Gathering explores women’s health care The day-long symposium focuses on barriers women face — especially those from poor or under-served communities — when trying to access health care, and the current legal, political and grassroot strategies that address these inequities. Featured speakers include Assemblywoman Dion Aroner, Sylvia Law, co-director of the Hays Civil Liberties Memorial Program and Elizabeth Dollard, law professor at New York University. Visit www.law.berkeley.edu/students/BWLJ.shtml or call 642-6263 to register. Policy outlines rules for renaming facilities At Berkeley, proposals to name facilities such as rooms, open spaces, roads and buildings are reviewed first by the Space Assignments and Capital Improvements Committee and its Naming of Buildings Subcommittee, which forward their recommendations to the chancellor. This process also applies to such permanent campus fixtures as plaques and benches in public places.
