Summer Full-Day Camps
A new, week-long, hands-on science camp exploring biology, chemistry, physics and math, as well as games, puzzles, stories, hikes and art. For all LHS camps, see lawrencehallofscience.org.

Beastly Botanical Safari Camp
A LHS/UC Botanical Garden

Full-Day Camp
Explore cacti, edible tropical fruits, and Native American plants used for food and clothing, from deserts to the redwoods. Live animals help answer questions from each habitat. All classes are at the UC Botanical Garden. Bring a lunch.

YEAH (Young Entrepreneurs at Haas School of Business)
High-school youth learn the basics of starting and operating a business, personal finance, and office software programs, and experience field trips and guest speakers. YEAH serves educationally disadvantaged students in the West Contra Costa, Berkeley, Oakland, and Emeryville districts.
Dates: July 21-Aug. 1, every other Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Youth English Adventure
A 3-week summer course combining elementary to intermediate language learning with group activities. Some prior English is required.

Outstanding K-6 students are invited to a three-week summer session at Washington Elementary School in Point Richmond.
Dates: July 7-July 25 (3 weeks)
Level: Grades K-6
Daily Schedule: Morning classes (8:30 a.m.-noon) or afternoon classes (1-4:30 p.m). Students take just one class.
Fees: Processing fee: $30 (non-refundable); tuition and materials: $405-$425; sibling discount: $25 per student (not including processing fee)

Postmark deadline for new ED applicants: Thursday, March 27

SECONDARY DIVISION
Academically talented students attend a six-week session of challenging summer classes.
Dates: June 16 to July 25 (6 weeks)

Weekly Schedule: 5-unit classes (2 days per week); 10-unit classes (3 days per week)
Daily Schedule: Morning classes (8:30 a.m.-noon) or afternoon classes (1-4:30 p.m.). New students take just one class.
