A pause to remember those no longer with us

A lone piper keened a mournful tune while approaching the crowd assembled on the west side of California Hall for the second annual campus memorial service on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The half-hour ceremony featured brief readings from spiritual texts, an a capella rendering of “I’ll Be Seeing You,” and the reading of the names of those members of the campus community — staff, students, and past and present faculty — who passed away during the preceding year.
