IST is on the move
New addresses for some units beginning next week

The offices of Information Systems and Technology (IST) have moved to a new location. IST units formerly located on the second floor of Evans Hall — Central Computing Services, Workstation Support Services, the associate vice chancellor’s office, and Interactive University — have relocated to 2195 Hearst Ave., on the northwest corner of Oxford St. and Hearst Ave. The Museum Informatics Project (MIP) will also relocate to 2195 Hearst.
The System and Network Security unit and IST’s Administrative Systems Department, Communication and Network Services, Social Science Computing Laboratory, and Student Information Systems will remain in their current locations.
Some services will be affected by the move and are listed below; staff phone numbers will not change. The new campus address for the IST Evans Hall and MIP staff will be 2195 Hearst Ave.; except for MIP, campus mail codes will remain the same.
Availability of services is as follows:
• User and Account Services (uas.berkeley.edu) will remain in 206 Evans through Friday, Jan. 21. On Monday, Jan. 24, the UAS office will open in its new location at 2195 Hearst Ave., Room 111. Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Software Distribution (softdist.berkeley.edu) has relocated to 2195 Hearst Ave.; walk-in hours are no longer available. To pick up software or set up a meeting, e-mail products@berkeley.edu, runner@berkeley.edu, or call 643-9725 or 642-8517.
• The CAL PACT Computer Training Room will remain in 262 Evans for all CAL PACT scheduled classes.
