Half- and Full-Day Camps
A wide variety of hands-on science-exploration camps on themes including animals, dinosaurs, math, wizards, science theater, exploring the Bay, lights and lasers, electric gadgetry, geometry and digital art, and more. In addition, Science & Sports Camps (S2) are full-day camps offered by LHS in collaboration with Cal Youth and Outdoor Programs. Register for the S2 Camps at www.oski.org/html/scra_scisports2.htm. LHS also offers residential, backpacking, and research camps at outdoor sites in northern California, including Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and Bodega Bay. Overnight camps are offered for ages 8-18.
Level: Ages 4-5 through entering 9th grade
Enrollment: 8-16 campers, depending on the camp
Dates: 1 or 2 weeks, June 20-Aug. 26

Green Stuff Day Camp
Explore, taste, learn, discover, experiment, and enjoy the world of plants.
Level: Ages 5-7
Dates: June 13-17, June 20-24, July 5-8, July 11-15, July 18-22

Week-long, half-day co-ed sports camps in baseball, basketball, gymnastics, soccer and volleyball (a soccer camp will also be offered over Spring Break, March 28-April 21, ages 6-14). Two-week-long, full-day camps in skateboarding, music and dance, outdoor adventures, sports, and more. Extended Care: Available for all sports-camp participants ages 7-12

Saturday Business Academy prepares 9th-and 10th-grade students for academic and economic success through fun and challenging entrepreneurship, economics, and finance projects. Preference given to youth who come from low-income families, attend public schools, and/or would be the first in their family to graduate from a four-year college.

Elementary Division
Outstanding K-6 students attend a three-week summer session of enrichment at Castro Elementary School in El Cerrito.
Dates:July 11-29 (3 weeks)
Times: Morning (8:30 a.m.-noon) or afternoon (1-4:30 p.m). For an extra fee, ATDP students may attend an on-site half-day sports camp sponsored by Cal Youth and Outdoor Programs.
Level: Grades K-6
Fees: Processing: $30 (non-refundable); tuition and materials: $405-$425; sibling discount: $25 per student (from tuition only)

Secondary Division
Academically talented students in grades 7 to 11 attend a six-week session of challenging summer classes on the UC Berkeley campus. Students who successfully complete courses receive a recommendation for credit at their school.
Dates: June 20-July 29 (6 weeks)

Times: Morning (8:30 a.m.-noon) or afternoon (1-4:30 p.m.)
Weekly Schedule: 5-unit classes (2 days per week); 10-unit classes (3 days per week)

Young Writers’ Camp

A unique opportunity for students entering grades 4-8 to develop their writing skills. Through the camp, students discover the conditions and habits needed to do their best writing and grow in their confidence and skill.
