John D. Fuller, formerly senior superintendent in facilities management, died Oct. 21 in Little River, Kan. He was 75.

Born Nov. 2, 1932, he was a 1950 graduate of the local high school. He began his career at Berkeley in 1966, working graveyard in the campus steam plant. Subsequent responsibilities, prior to his promotion to the senior superintendent job, included supervision of the campus’s squad of stationary engineers, responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of heating and cooling apparatuses.

Recalls stationary-engineers senior superintendent Wil Gilbert: "John was well-known throughout the campus and was liked and respected by a great many. He was my first supervisor and mentor, taught me how to apply my engineering knowledge to building operations, and gave me my first chance at promotion. I will miss him."
