• Kristin Reed's summer fellowship in Angola has been jointly funded by The Human Rights Center and The Center for African Studies at UC Berkeley. The Human Rights Center awards 10 summer fellowships to students at UC Berkeley to work with human rights organizations in the United States and abroad. The Center for African Studies awards pre-dissertation and dissertation fellowships to graduate students pursuing research in African countries. This year, African Studies funded six pre-dissertation and 10 dissertation research fellowships.
