This year the campus returns to a twice-yearly review schedule. The 1999-2000 calendar, which was recenlty sent to vice chancellors, is posted on the Human Resources web site, hrweb.berkeley.edu/hrpay.htm. Requests to include positions in the MSP program, or to re-grade current MSP positions, are submitted through the vice chancellors for review and then sent to Human Resources. They are then read by the MSP review committee or (for programmer/ analyst and computing resource manager positions) by the technical committee. These committees will submit their recommendations in April to the MSP Policy Board, which makes final decisions. The deadline to submit requests for Human Resources for the spring 1999 review is Jan. 15. Departments should process requests through their control units in time to meet this deadline. Late requests will be held for the next review cycle, in fall 1999.
