Berkeley resident Apropo, 15, looks over the quilt her mother works on (typically on the banks of Strawberry Creek), while Apropo attends campus language classes. This semester she is studying French, Dutch and advanced Chinese through the UC Berkeley Extension concurrent enrollment program, along with Saturday classes in Vietnamese at Cal State Hayward.
