Susan Slavick, building manager for the College of Chemistry, gave a group of Japanese engineers and business leaders a tour of Tan Hall Feb. 3. The Japanese Building Mechanical Equipment Study Team visited Berkeley to obtain a first-hand look at campus facilities and mechanical equipment and to exchange mutual experiences. Of particular interest were heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing and piping systems, and energy conservation. Noah Berger photo.
