Focus on Indonesia posted October 14, 1998 During her 22 years researching the forests and peoples of Indonesia, environmental sociologist Nancy Peluso often photographed her subjects and their world. An exhibit of her pictures documenting changes in rural Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) is on display at Ramona's Cafe on the main floor of Wurster Hall until Oct. 30. Peluso is an associate professor in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management. She earned her doctorate at Cornell in 1988, and taught at Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies before joining Berkeley's faculty in 1996.
