Business Officers to Attend Development Institute

By Kathleen Phillips Satz, Human Resources
posted September 23, 1998

This fall the systemwide Business Officer Institute will hold its first Northern California session for managers responsible for major budget/finance and human resources functions.

The session will take place Oct. 20-22 at The Clarion Hotel in San Francisco. It will cover such themes as leadership, ethical decision-making, internal control, accountability, fiduciary responsibility and organizational change.

Participants will work in small groups and large sessions to explore the issues a business officer might encounter.

Control units will choose participants for the October session; more sessions will take place next spring. Faculty for the program are senior managers from UCOP, the campuses and medical centers.

For more information, see the program Web site at www.ucop.edu/ucophome/businit/boi/ or contact your department manager.
