Awards ASCAP Honors Three Composers Three music faculty have been chosen to receive the 1998-99 ASCAP Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers. Edmund Campion, Cindy Cox and Olly Wilson were named award recipients "based upon the unique prestige value of each writer's catalog of original compositions as well as recent performances of those works in areas not surveyed by the Society." Each received a cash award. 1998 Calendar Wins Award Public Affairs design director John Hickey and photographer Howard Gale Ford received an Award of Excellence from the University & College Designers Association. They were honored for "Museums of the University of California, Berkeley," a 1998 calendar produced by Public Affairs in cooperation with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. The calendar's color photographs showcase holdings of nine UC Berkeley museums and archives -- the Botanical Garden, Lawrence Hall of Science, the Museum of Paleontology, the Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology, Berkeley Art Museum, the Essig Museum of Entomology, Pacific Film Archive, the University and Jepson Herbaria and the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology.
