Mark Twain at Large posted September 30, 1998 A new Mark Twain exhibit running through Dec. 11 opened at The Bancroft Library last week. "Mark Twain at Large: His Travels Here and Abroad" documents Twain as the restless traveler who steamed across the Atlantic 29 times. "I have seen all the foreign counties I want to see except heaven and hell," he wrote in 1891, "and I have only a vague curiosity as concerns one of those." The free exhibit includes manuscripts, letters and photographs and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
