Nominations for UCRS Board Candidates Due April 16 Posted April 7, 1999 Nominations for the Board of the University of California Retirement System (UCRS) are due in the UC Office of the President Human Resources/Benefits Unit by Friday, April 16. Employees who are active members of the University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP), but not members of the Academic Senate are eligible to run. Interested candidates must submit a brief biographical statement and a petition signed by at least 50 active UCRP members who are not part of the Academic Senate. Nomination packets may be requested or picked up from the Human Resources benefits unit, 247 University Hall. Office hours are 9 to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Non-Academic Senate members of UCRP will vote in June to fill one vacancy on the Board. The elected candidate will serve a four-year term beginning July 1, 1999. The nine-member UCRS Board typically meets four times a year in Oakland at the Office of the President.
